About the Position

As a Product Developer, you own the development of our drink portfolio end to end, from flavor briefing and sampling to final approval, documentation, and production readiness. You turn ideas into technically solid, market-ready SKUs. You work closely with suppliers, especially flavor houses, and teams across Design, Supply Chain, and Brand to make sure every product delivers on taste, quality, compliance, and speed. Your job is to bring new products to market that meet our bar for taste, quality, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Ingredient & Formula Ownership:
Advise on ingredient selection, validate technical feasibility, and define accurate ingredient declarations for packaging and the website. Serve as the go-to expert for formulation questions, ensuring decisions support taste, functionality, and scalability. - End-to-End Product Development & Launch Execution:
Own the full operational development of powders and syrups from flavor briefing through samples, approvals, and production handover. Coordinate with flavour houses, contract manufacturers, and internal teams to keep campaign, seasonal, and limited-edition products on track. - Compliance & Product Documentation:
Finalize product documents (spec sheets, nutrition info, claims, labeling) in collaboration with flavor houses and contract manufacturers. Run regulatory checks to ensure all product information is accurate, compliant, and launch-ready. - Sensorics, Quality & Product Improvement:
Plan and execute tastings internally and with external partners, capture structured feedback, and translate findings into actionable next steps for product optimization. Maintain a high bar across taste, consistency, and technical detail. - Production Readiness, Asset Coordination & Master Data:
Coordinate final product inputs for print assets (tubs, sachets, barcodes), align specifications with all stakeholders, and hand over production-ready orders to Supply Chain. Prepare compliance inputs (labeling, claims, nutritional info) in close collaboration with the Quality Manager and external lawyers.
About You
- Language Proficiency: German and English.
- Location: Berlin-based or willing to relocate.
- Product development expertise: Hands-on experience developing food or beverage products, with the ability to translate ideas into stable, scalable, launch-ready formulations.
- Strong ingredient and formulation knowledge: Confidence working with ingredients and flavor systems, plus ideally basic food chemistry, to assess technical feasibility with a strong eye for detail.
- Compliance and labeling accuracy: Familiarity with ingredient declarations, nutrition data, and claims requirements, and a high level of precision when product information needs to be legally and operationally correct.
- Sharp sensory judgment: Strong taste intuition paired with a structured approach to sensory evaluation, turning qualitative feedback into concrete product improvements.
- Cross-functional communicator: Proactive collaboration with suppliers and stakeholders across Design, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Brand, making technical topics clear and actionable for non-technical teams.
- Ownership mindset: A track record of spotting issues early, pushing topics through independently, and holding a high bar for product quality, speed, and execution.

The Process
As we are experiencing rapid growth and have ambitious plans, the optimal start date for the position is today. Nonetheless, we are prepared to patiently await the arrival of the ideal candidate, recognizing that quality ultimately yields the best results.
- Intro Call: A 30-minute screening with Eric, our Talent Acquisition Manager. You’ll talk about HOLY, the role, your experience, and whether our expectations align.
- Hiring Manager Interview: You’ll meet Antonia, our Senior Product Manager, to go deeper on your background and ambitions.
- Case Study & On-Site Interview: As soon as you have successfully completed the first interviews, you will receive a case study. In a follow-up meeting at our office, the team will discuss your case study with you and answer questions about our workspace, the HOLY Temple.
- Reference Calls: At this stage, we’d like to connect with 1–2 former colleagues or managers who have worked closely with you. These conversations help us better understand your working style and strengths from those who know you professionally.
- Founders Interview: As a strong cultural fit is important to us, you will have a final meeting with Fredi, one of our HOLY Founders. This gives both you and us the opportunity for a final check.
- Job Offer and Decision: If everything goes well, you will receive an offer and we are ready to embark on this journey together with you!
